I found myself having a fight with somebody not in the room in my head.
I do that all the time. It's a surprisingly hard habit to break, considering how counterproductive it is. I can't think of a single time when an actual conversation followed the script that my imagined conversation had, yet the brain keeps trying to run both sides of the argument.
