Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Weird. I haven't seen a new thread in ages.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Burrell, your tag line just cracked me up big time.

Good thing hardly anyone's in the office yet.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I liked "Not have sex." It sorta seemed...

Ah well. First 20. G'timelies, Bitches. Recycling and trash are out. And now? Back to bed.

I'm glad to know it still makes people laugh, Frankenbuddha.

Mostly lurking...

Burrell, I've been meaning to tell you a funny little story, but I haven't seemed to be posting *with* you for a while.

Right before Spring break my creative writing professor had promised to get us back the Sestinas we had written. Well, he got sick (and actually came to teach sick, poor guy!) and didn't get them done. So, he brought a stack of envelopes and told us if we wanted them back before he saw us next to address an envelope, and he'd mail them during Spring break.

I was the only person to fill out an envelope. I turned it in to him but laughed and said, "Um...I guess I'm the only one that cares, so don't feel the need to rush to get it done on my account. I can wait till after break."

I clearly have very different expectations of both myself and professors. Sometimes those are good...sometimes, I'm starting to learn, they're a bit unreasonable (both for me and the profs).

I usually try for a two week turn around time on papers, but sometimes that doesn't happen.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Gronk. Need to get dressed and go to work now.

Shiny new digs.

Trust my rage

I didn't realize this was your last semester. Go you! I bet your feelings are a combo of the baby and last semester wanting-to-just-get-it-over-ness.

I think you are exactly right. Part of my problem is that I'm not even looking for work because of the baby. (Hopefully, I'll be working early next year.) It makes school matter less when it's just academic at the moment. Anyway, while I like learning about the law, life events have really made me *not care* about reading for class or taking finals (which start in 4 weeks!)

I meant to post in LJ that I thought those pictures of Toto were absolutely adorable. He looked so cute!

In the Spring report: It's completely blue sky here - about 50 - but supposed to get to 74 today. There are trees and flowers blooming everywhere. I'm glad I got to see spring in Chapel Hill at least once - it's so pretty.

Kristin, you'll always be in my top ten :)

Awwwwww.

What tommyrot said! Awwwww!

Yes, this. Especially this year with my depression, I've really been struggling. I find that I can't grade well at night right now, so it really restricts my ability to get things back in a timely fashion. I'm really trying, though, and the kids have mostly been understanding about it even without knowing the cause (since I obviously can't tell them).
