Juliana, so it started out slashy, went het, and now is back to the slash?
Sadly, this is not so. Nope, Mr. Vance is Ms. Bassett's husband.
But still. Angela Bassett. Not two blocks away from me. And Z might possibly be in that cast. Drinks. With Angela Bassett. *gah*
And now I want to do a female/female version of the show.
he "I went to different salon" brand won't show? I never even considered that...
I think the "don't ask, don't tell" policy is in effect with hairdressers. At least it should be. If you slink back or decide to give them another chance after someone else cuts your hair, I don't think they want to know the details of the sordid affair.
Let me know if you need info on Salem. Is this the place you linked to a ways back?
It is! We may need your help hanging out at a local pub when we "commute" to the place after work sometime next week.
So, the credit union, where we got the pre-approval, has totally folded us into their bosom and I am getting calls and emails and offers of help left and right. It's all very amusing.
I posted and ran off to do work stuff yesterday, of which there was a gracious plenty, alas.
And now, a meara . . .
I wanted to tell you how lovely it was of you to come hang out with us and humor Mr.H's trying to corrupt you.
Oh, it was loads of fun for me, too! And attempted corruption is fun--I was sorry to have to resist.
Which species [of penguin]? Inquiring minds want to know!
I do not know. There were, as you might expect, lots of people around them, and the handlers were too busy for me to ask. The penguins were about two feet high, and an overall greyish brown. No funky yellow markings, no tuxedo, no eyebrows. Does that help?
BT, you don't need penguin assistance to woo the womenfolk.
Yep. The only thing that would have made having a booth next to a cutiehead Australian guy better would have been if the cutiehead Australian guy was BT. Except BT just got back home from the US, and I'd hate for him to have to schlep back again so soon. (On his behalf, from my PoV it would have been dandy.)
Juliana's wedding pics are lovely! I adore that red-corset/white tulle combination.

I am the shoe-death-trap-setter in the family.
In this I am Nora. However, since I live alone I have only myself to trip. Sin and damnation in one handy set of sensible flats.

Cool, keep me posted. Salem Beer Works (same as the two Boston ones, pretty much) is my default spot, but the delightfully named McSwiggan's is pretty good for an Irish style bar.
I adore that red-corset/white tulle combination.
(It was actually silver, but ended up looking white after 3 layers. I had 7 layers total on the skirt. Whoops.) Thanks!
no tuxedo
No tuxedo???!??!? What kind of self-respecting penguin goes around without a tux?
Waits for bt to pop in and provide details on how many non-tuxedo penguins there are
McSwiggan's
OMG, we totally want to go here, we saw it when we were tooling around on Sunday. I was going to ask about it in my previous post but feared that I would look like a hick or something. We have already decided that will be our local. Also, we love the Salem Beer Works. Well, the beer at least, maybe not the "scene" so much.
HEE! I'm psyched you mentioned McSwiggan's!
Also, we love the Salem Beer Works. Well, the beer at least, maybe not the "scene" so much.
Unfortunately, that seems to be the scene in Salem. Maybe a little more toursity.
I'm mildly burnt out on the food at Beer Works (which I've always liked) but apparently the menu is being re-vamped soon (I hang out both at the Salem and the Canal Street Boston Beer Works a LOT).
Food options are good around Salem, I must say (Cabot Street in Beverly looks like it's got a lot going for it too). Among other places, there's both an upscale and a downscale Mexican, and both are VERY good for what they do.
