And you're sure this isn't just some fanboy thing? 'Cause I've fought more than a couple pimply, overweight vamps that called themselves Lestat.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Okay, this is torture and I want to go back to the bugs now.

(Really good chocolate-covered strawberries, I think. One of those foodstuffs that shouldn't just be good enough.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

A fresh Bombay mango, cut in half around with the seed popped out, and the cup made of fruit filled with home made vanilla bean ice cream.

Homemade chocolate ice cream.

Pears cooked in red wine, served with Creme Anglaise.

Tiramisu with Blue Mountain Coffee.

Apple crumble with a good cup of tea.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Gus--this page has pictures and descriptions of desserts. [link]

It has the traditional Boston Cream Pie--cake, custard and chocolate glaze, and also what it sounds like you are describing-French Silk Pie.

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm a dessert slut...the McNulty of sweet stuff. Every one is the best one, please, baby, please. But we've not had anything decadent around here for a bit...I blame that asshole from "Supersize Me".

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

That sounds like chocolate mousse to me.

Pre-zactly. Chocolate mousse in a pie shell, with whipped cream. No spiders.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

The Red Sox got rained out, which is probably the best thing that's happened to them so far this week.

Indeed. Sadly, tomorrow they fly to Texas, where I gather rain is a less common occurence.

My favorite dessert ever? Might be the chocolate cake-y pudding-y object I had in the Tate Modern. With chocolate-ness, and then hot toffee sauce on top. It was actually lunch, not a dessert.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I blame that asshole from "Supersize Me".

I still love a quarter pounder with cheese, fries, and a coke. Love it. But alas, the diet doesna allow.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

After reading Robin's link:

That cakey thing ... not the thing I have purchased in Boston. Bostonians, bail me out!

The thing I am thinking of is closer to the French Silk picture, with a different crust.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I love mango with coconut milk and rice. But I am italike in my refusal to pick a favorite. there is a thing at the bar up the street that's probably the most decadent. It's the Xango cheesecake. It's warm rich cheesecake in a fried pastry shell with whipped cream, chocolate and caramel sauce and fresh strawberries and blueberries.
