They're filming on location in Eureka?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I wondered if there really was a Eureka, but there are probably a bunch, huh?
Eureka, but there are probably a bunch
At least one [link]
It's the biggest town (ha!) near my alma mater
I bet there's at least one in California, and considering Ohio has a Zanesville and a Xenia, why not a Eureka too?
Very good "reader, I found it for him" story. Less fun -- or, if you're in the right mood and your user is patient -- are the ones that are total not-dead-end stumpers. I once spent half an hour verifying where the city of Medjugorje is (now in Bosnia), and which of five spellings of this city might be the most common in English, so that I might search the catalog for a book on the Virgin of Medjugorje. The nice little old lady I was helping was amazed and interested in the step-by-step process, and because she was a little old lady, she wasn't in any hurry.
Would you believe, there was no entry on this particular virgin in the Catholic Encyclopedia? Humph.
Hmph. I need better research librarians. The one at my poky little local branch didn't get me anywhere with my search for info on the state of turn-of-the-19th-century obstetrics and battlefield medicine.
Huh. I will have to ask him which Eureka Vancouver will be representing.
eta: Google answered it first -- it'll be Pacific Northwest.
Also -- his character will be named ... Logan Danny Jack Carter.

Was the particular virgin Greek Orthodox?
Oh, yay:
Suggesting that next month's release of the sixth Star Wars film, The Revenge of the Sith, will amount only to "the end of the beginning," as Churchill once remarked, George Lucas has told Celebration III, a Star Wars convention in Indiana, that he plans to carry the sci-fi battles further -- on television. He indicated that he has immediate plans to start an animated series of half-hour shows that will be produced in 3D, to be followed by a live-action series
I don't think I know how to respond to that.
Spasmodic sobbing?
