Our wings are not tired.

I watched Sunday night TV for the first time in about forever last night as I babysat drugged DH. Basketball first of course, then I watched Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy.

Desperate Housewives was very watchable and damned funny. I didn’t have a clue on any backstory or even the characters names, yet still funny.

Grey’s Anatomy was disappointing for me. I like the actors quite a lot, but the stories annoyed me, a lot. The mad urgent scramble of residents trying to find the life saving answer for the beauty queen was particularly eye rolling. It was a shame that I couldn't get into it because the individual characters I liked very much.

I was grateful to be reading a book at the same time.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Alfredo is now, officially (letter from the State Department/Department of Homeland Security) a Resident. He's waffling on the whole citizenship thingy, as he already has two (Venezuela and Spain), but the idea of collectible trading-card citizenships is also appealing.

But yay! 3+ years later, the process is complete. NOW we can start traveling.

Many many congrats, Stunt Husband! my husband got approved for residency just before Xmas, after 4 years of running around and waiting and fingerprinting and waiting some more, and then fingerprinting again, because his finger prints "expired" during the waiting process. He just got his green card in the mail last week, and there was much celebrating. Frankly, in terms of importance, it was a bigger deal than our wedding.

So I celebrate for you both! Tom's almost definitely not doing the citizenship thing though.

Thrive to spite them

I'm rather offended at the protesters who keep comparing Terri to Jesus. And there seem to be a lot. Not just the tinfoil person, but also the signs that are being held up and what I've read in the paper. First, I think that if Terri's feeding tube had been removed at any other time and people were making the comparison the Religous Right would be offended. Or if Terri wasn't a Christian the comparision wouldn't be made and the RR would be really pissed at that.

This situation is not like Jesus being crucified and comparing this mortal woman to my God is offensive.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Well, I was just bitched out by Jehovah. This doesn't happen every day, unless you're me.

Him: GOOD MORNING.
Me: Mornin'.
Him: DO YOU KNOW WHAT I SAID? I SAID, "GOOD MORNING."
Me: And I said, "Mornin'."
Him: DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I AM JEHOVAH.
Me: Actually, I think you've mentioned that before.
Him: t long stream of obscenities
Me: t lazy blink
Him: t stalks off angrily

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, this is weird. (When you read the article it gets a little less weird, but still.) A boy lost a foot and both hands while playing basketball. Luckily, they were all reattached successfully.

Art Crawl!!!

I like having Patrick Dempsey on my tv ALOT.

Also, I agree that it's funny that Katherine Hegl is playing an Isobel again.

Desperate Housewives is very enjoyable. Can't wait for next week. Also, enjoyed Crossing Jordan. (Nigle+bUgG$evaH!!!>)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Shrift, I think Jehovah has it in for you.

You should tell him you're Shiva.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Timelies,

Feeling vaguely disoriented today. Not sure if it's because of the cold, the cold medicine, the fact I slept for 17 hours or some combination of the three.

Not sure if I missed something or it's the afforementioned disorientation, but why is Jehovah talking to shrift?
