You'll fight, and you'll shag, and you'll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you'll never be friends.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Following up on wingnut TX legislators, did y'all see this?

TX House votes to end gay foster parenting.

It still has to go through Conference Committee before it becomes law, but damn y'all, that's cold.

Alias:

The Sloane identification scene and the Arvin Clone bit were too damn funny.

And, OK, he was mean and all, but Ha! to the torturing dude for the lie/lay bit.

Sloane was freaky. Loved it.

ETA: The torture scenes were distrubing . And she did have a point at the end there - Clone wants her to use her engineering skills to help him build something, so his thug ruins her hands? At the very least, she'd need to write or type some calculations or something, you'd figure. That was not forward thinking.

Our wings are not tired.

Alias: I have the big love for Arvin Clone for sure. I am still eye rolly and leary of going back to Rambaldi it may be the shiny floaty red ball. Or perhaps the way it ended last time. Will I watch next week? Ya betcha!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

urgh. I need to go to bed, but you all are having such the alias love that I want to go watch it now.

Alias:

Oh, and I wonder who Jacquelyn is. Or, at least, what the significance is.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh, Corwood, that's such a problem. Esp when later on the article notes problems with the foster care system that point to REAL fostering issues that need to be addressed, like abuse. feh.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

So I'm poking around online to find synopses of shows I've missed and on the JoA site there is Joan's Diary. The interesting thing is that it includes weeks when the show didn't air and the diary entries touch on current events. My favorite so far:

March 18, 2005
I've been sneezing a lot lately. Does that mean I have bird-flu?

and this one:

January 20, 2005
So I'm watching Inside the Actor's Studio and you want to know who the guest was? J. Lo. J.Lo?! What's she ever done? She's such a great actor now that students should study and learn from her? I mean, come on. It's ridiculous, right? But I do like that questionnaire they have at the end. I'd tell you what J. Lo's favorite word is, but I couldn't suffer through the whole thing. So I'll tell you my favorite word instead: codswallop.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Just watched Alias. I think on Buffy, I bought why magic was crack more than I buy why Rambaldi is crack. That leadup was better. Still, addict Sloane is having the desired effect on me.

Jesse, I have no sympathy for you wrt skindeepla. It might get my ass fired.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

So, today's high was 87. Tomorrow's is expected to be 55. This is making it really hard to plan my week.
