Natter 34: Freak With No Name
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
No, I take the time.
I edited to clarify that I meant chaos making, not no potty breaks.
I know nothing about potty training babies. However, either I'm really good at this puppy mama thing, or Oz is incredibly smart. He's taken to housetraining fairly quickly- only one accident when Mr. H didn't come home on time to let him out and he escaped his crate. Other than that it's been only outside all the time. He also has the benefit of an already well housetrained older dog to show him the ropes.
I'm not sure I remember much before five or so. Or maybe I'm more sure those are mine. Or maybe that's my brain's way of protecting me from Doctor and Therapist Trauma.
Crate training is the best thing to assist in house training a dog EVER. I'm glad we did it--saved us our apartment security deposit.
I remember when my sister was born (I was 3 1/2). After a few days I noticed that I was getting a lot less attention from my parents and my older brother. I wasn't mad, as I understood why that had to be so. But I was sad, as I realized that I would never get so much attention ever again.
I can't correlate memories with my age for when I was in my teens and twenties (typically I have to figure out where I was living when such-and-such happened, or some other background detail, to get even a range for when it must have occurred), much less for under 5. I do remember an incident from before I was in pre-school, so that must have been [2nd grade=76 so kindergarten would have been '74 minus two years of pre school] right around three, because my sister was with us and she was born right before I turned three. But no, she was walking, so it must have been later.
Never mind. I have a bunch of memories, but I can't tell when they fit in a timeline of my life.

This statement, juxtaposed with the potty-training discussion, is highly amusing.

I will admit I've pondered crate training for O.
But your daughter is just about 20-21 months, right?
Yep.
I know my nephew was easier to potty train than my niece, but I don't recall what age he was at the time. My sister assumed it was because of the cloth diapers, I dunno.
Anyhoo, I needs me a wee lie down before I start doing my work. So... naptime!
