But elynross is writing a story and crediting you with inspiration.
w00t! I haven't seen livejournal since I crawled into bed a little after midnight, and I did not know this.
And I just sent a message to someone who has been imposing
ridiculously
unrealistic deadlines on me, and she has written back, and I don't want to read her response. Because I think it will make me more homicidal than I already am. Which would be bad.
Matt, she
went on a date with him to help him win a bet, but then he kinda tricked her into more dates, Dr. Grouchy ratted him out, and she's gotten him to stop coming on to her.
So, in exciting toddler news, Frances used the potty this morning!
She's been interested in the wee toddler toilets at daycare, so we put the potty into the bathroom so she could sit on it when we were in there and play potty. I have no plans of pushing her potty training early, but who am I to squelch a curious little girl? Anyway, this morning she takes me into the bathroom and unzips her Dr Dentons, so I help her wiggle out of them. Then she wants to take off her diaper and sit on the potty chair. I again oblige. She points to the toilet--I am to sit on it while she sits on the potty. And then she does it! She pees in the potty! OMG!
And, er, this is probably of much more interest to me than anyone else on the board. But I'm so excited I had to share.
Dude. That's way cool.
Of course she may get confused when she drags your DH into the bathroom with her.
So maybe you get to mostly maintain the diaper status quo instead of it doubling! That was so helpful of her...
Burrell, that's great!!!
I never tried it that early, but my pediatrician swore it was the right time to try it. You might want to think about pull-ups for days, when you're home, because it will make it easier for her, and something more under her own control (which is half the fun for them, I think).
