But Lizzie Borden being acquitted is the bestest part.

Actually, at the time the Bordens were killed, several eyewitnesses saw a man running around their house, apparently looking for a way in. He seemed to be very upset about something, and he was later identified as a former patient/associate (my memory is a little fuzzy) of Mr. Borden who was known to be violent. So there's a good chance Lizzie got off because, despite what everyone "knew" happened, there wasn't a case.

There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists.

Poking around the net, Little People of America defines dwarfism as anyone 4'10" or under. Which I could see for men, but I wouldn't consider a 4'10" woman a dwarf, I've had several women friends who were less than 5 feet tall.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Anyone want to recap 24 for me?

4'10"? That's quite surprising. I'm only 5'2", and I tower over some of the immigrant ladies I see at the grocery store. Honestly, it's gotten so that if I see a particuarly wispy creature of any ilk who's at all taller than me, I check her shoes. More often than not, she's wearing some very chunky soles.

Do nuns ever face reprisal from former Catholic school students? It seems like some of them traumatize so many people in childhood, there would have to be some risk of payback.

What is even happening?

Cindy, it's also associated with vampirism because some conditions of porphyria can include blistering and burning of the skin when exposed to sunlight.
Ah. That's what I was missing. Thanks, Cashmere. I hope you got some sleep and that Owen's stuffies let him sleep.

You'd think, huh?

Poor GC. How scary it must have been to be unable to move, in the first place, and then to have the sister-teacher mad at you? Ooof.

My cousin had a horrible time in Parochial school. When she was really little--kindergarten or first grade--her teacher made her wear a sign with something along the lines of, "I am a big mouth and a dummy" written on it, and go around to all the other classes, telling why she had to wear the sign (she'd spoken out in class or something similarly mild). She finally reached a classroom with a nun who was an actual human, who told her to take the sign off, go back to her class, and tell her teacher that nun said she was done.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

the only exception was the Attorney General (who's name escapes me at the moment).

I shot a man in Janet Reno just to watch him die?

Timelies!

A former denizen of another former TT thread I hang out on, recently published his first novel. One of the characters is named "Mickey the Gerund" which made me totally think of the Buffistas. [link]

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Meep. I'm leaving soon for my first day of work.

I was beginning to like this hiatus stuff too.
