Come take a look at the plans I'm playing with for our straw bale house. Warning: image is unnecessarily large, but I am lazy, and sorry about the ever so annoying ads, but I am cheap.

Do they look okay? Am I missing something major? Do they flow all right? Does it look doable? Come play design with me!

What's the scale, Liese? Looks like each square is less than a yard, but more than a foot.

Liese: Work areas are too near the entries. The front door and the concentration zone should be very apart.

That kitchen will be pretty dark, unless you have skylights.

My first thought was that the kitchen looks small. there should be a good pantry area there - esp if you are looking for things like sustainability - because long term food storage is part of that in my mind.

happy noisedesign day - but because my birthday can not be contained by a day .... today I open a scary card from my MIL ( a kitten with a large lipstick grin), got a card from a neighborhood friend, went out to dinner with my DS and BIL, open present from them - battery operated paper laterns for the yard, opened presents from my mom - asort of mod ladybug pin and a book - good bugs for your garden ,and now i am thinking about an early bed time ( ok - that has to do with recovering from stupid lung illnesses) .
