All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

No previous reference. Just my day.

You'd think that for a college student's first time directing a show there might be a faculty advisor present for the first tech. Nope. Just me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Right ON, Erin! That is totally awesome. You are a hot educatin' mama!

Mr. Killer, sir, you need to go back and d'l all the Numb3rs eps so you can criticize all the math and I can parrot it to my friends and appear superior. Last ep was fun because it used to observe is to change, yay.

All I can criticize is the chalkboard/whiteboard/window conundrum. I myself prefer the whiteboard, but that is because the FBI will not let me write on their windows.

Meanwhile, I like the show, I like just about all the actors, and the female agent appears to have brushed her hair. So it's all good.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Saturday evening at Chez Zmayhem. I'm loading songs into iTunes. JZ is dancing around the kitchen to Jonathan Richman. Emmett's watching Tom & Jerry cartoons and doing Wm. Blake temporary tattoos.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I figured the other axis was labelled x, actually. That's what was weird about it, is that I've never seen x/y used with x vertical and y horizontal.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Are they of tigers?

There's all kinds of cool artsy temporary tattoos. He's got the God-ish guy bending over the heavens with his compass on his arm right now.

Cool. That's way better than the choices from when I was a kid.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Saturday evening at the Pink House. The SO is watching Andy Griffith and composing a big band tune in Sibelius for the local college jazz band to play. I'm using the Sims as an architectural design program and, you know, surfing.

I should be listening through to yesterday's scratch tracks, though, to see if there are major problems to be worked out in the music before tomorrow's guitar/bass recording session. But I am not.

Also, it seems like such an odd thing to do differently. Unless they'd never ever graphed anything before and someone told them, just do an x/y axis thingy, and they just, you know, did.
