Anya: It's lovely! I wish it was mine! Oh like you weren't all thinking the same thing. Giles: I'm fairly certain I wasn't.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Cool. That's way better than the choices from when I was a kid.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Saturday evening at the Pink House. The SO is watching Andy Griffith and composing a big band tune in Sibelius for the local college jazz band to play. I'm using the Sims as an architectural design program and, you know, surfing.

I should be listening through to yesterday's scratch tracks, though, to see if there are major problems to be worked out in the music before tomorrow's guitar/bass recording session. But I am not.

Also, it seems like such an odd thing to do differently. Unless they'd never ever graphed anything before and someone told them, just do an x/y axis thingy, and they just, you know, did.

Our wings are not tired

I am now at the bar and folks are starting to arrive. 4 of us are drinking a 64 oz long island ice tea.

That's a lot of tea. Happy celebrating.

I know it's Saturday, but it feels like Sunday to me. So sad.

The temp tattoos are neato. My nephew (maybe 17 at the time) completely fooled me with one of those once -- wrapped all the way around his upper arm. A blue wave design or something. It looked really cool, actually, but I just was so not expecting it. Apparently he'd gone for the shock reveal to his mother and his grandmother, but neither one of them bought it. I did, though, so he was happy.

Always Anti-fascist!

I got a rock.

Were the tiger and the rock expected items of mail?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

ND! Happy birthday! You should celebrate with a trip to Australia.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, yes, I'd been expecting the tiger, but we were concerned that there may have been issues with the packaging. But no, it was all fine. As it turns out, there's nothing that bubble wrap can't protect.

One of the boys in the band we're recording is getting another tattoo with his tax refund. Oh, for those halcyon days.
