I am fascinated by how freaked-out people get about doing their taxes. I mean people who are my peers in not owning property, not having kids, not making much money.
I fit all those categories. And I only had 10 employers in 2 states this year!
oh, and
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DREW !!!
And I only had 10 employers in 2 states this year!
Oh yeah, I meant to say only one job in my list of things that make doing your taxes easy. Ten employers = too many!!
I had to get up at 6:30am this morning so I could get to work by 8 and squeeze in at least 4 hours of work before going shopping for bridesmaid dresses. I have to leave work now. I don't wanna. This is deeply sad.
Please for to send help.
Go git yourself gussied up, half pint!
Which is to say, I've been watching the Cameron Bancroft remake of Little House On The Prairie. It's been a million years (give or take) since I read the books. Does Mrs Ingall Wilder really paint her sister as so entirely boring? I think my family would shoot me if my memoirs made my sister such a non entity. I wouldn't dare, even knowing she couldn't read.

I'm rereading the book now, and for the most part, yeah. Practically any time anything's going on, Laura's helping the adults, or at least trying to figure out what's going on, while Mary's just sitting there watching.
Another thing that I'm noticing about the books, which I didn't notice the last time I read them (around fifth grade), is just how often Charles will be doing something, and Caroline will see a better way to do it, but not mention it until he's most of the way done, just as a, "By the way, why didn't you do it this way?" sort of thing.
How does Charles react to that?
I'm now watching part 3 of 5, and it's honestly not that interesting. I do adore Cameron Bancroft, so it's good background, but that's about it.
How does Charles react to that?
Most of the time, the book doesn't say. In the scene I just read, where he's building the chimney and she suggests a better way to stack the stones (I didn't totally get what that was about), he just said, "I believe I will" and finished it up that way.
happy birthday Noisedesign! may this year bring you more and better than the last year!
Happy Birthday, NoiseDesign!!!
One tape down, yay! Now I just have to find the other one...
