I don't really have a security blanket... unless you count Mr. Pointy.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

ita, start buying the plastic wrapped ones. They don't take nearly as long and bake up better.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

language!

also? even though I have food at home, and healthy food at that, I think I might get BK today.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Hey, folks, I'm home. I now have a stepbrother and a stepsister-in-law, and my mother has a husband (because that's just as easy to say and not weird, whereas stepfather is weird, but mother's husband's son is hard to say).

If I only had a brain...

ita, nuke 'em first to cook 'em, then bake 'em to crisp up and drive off steam.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's different about the plastic-wrapped ones? Are they tailored for baking?

My potato had a sticker on it claiming some sort of greatness in baking. It needs to talk about speed in baking. I'm on soft foods until tomorrow, and that's the best I can do with what's here.

ita, nuke 'em first to cook 'em

I think the nearest available microwave is 7-11.

If I only had a brain...

I think you need to step away from the weapons and into the kitchen equipment store.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I was very doubtful about the microwave trick the first time I tried it, but it really does work quite well.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

You don't have a microwave. I for got. Nevermind the plastic ones.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Reminds me of a Mitch Hedberg bit.

I like baked potatoes, man. I don't have a microwave oven; it takes forever to cook a baked potato in a conventional oven. Sometimes I'll just throw one in there, even if I don't want one, because by the time it's done... who knows? I'll throw a potato in and go on vacation.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Welcome back Emily. Congrats to your mother and all newly acquired relatives.
