Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

But it's LA! I'm finally in the in crowd.

Not until you grace the front page of awfulplasticsurgery.com. THEN you can say you've made it. The after-effects of a split-lip barely get you on the wrong side of the velvet rope.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

ita! the hell! You're supposed to be in top form for Saturday!

Notice how I made that all about me?

Seriously, do you have peroxide or something to keep the lip from getting infected? Maybe soak a cloth in some saltwater and lay it across the wound to help it heal. I know a split lip is so hard because when you speak or laugh it opens up again.

Maybe Tim wants to be molested.

Perhaps. But not in public.

Which cuss word worked the best?

I boiled water, and let them soak until they melted. It turns out that halfway down inside the holder were these spike things holding the candle in place. Fuckers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I know a split lip is so hard because when you speak or laugh it opens up again.

I am all about the stiff upper lip. In fact, my accent is as British as it's been in 15 years.

I tried watching a bit of the Daily Show. No go. Even the OC is causing problems. Tried to drink ginger ale, and now it's all over the floor. I'm eyeing an ice cube suspiciously -- I think I'll just count the ice cream a lucky win and try one of the mini ice packs.

I'm never getting to sleep.

It's always the dumb little things.

It turns out that halfway down inside the holder were these spike things holding the candle in place.

Because, god forbid, someone tried to burn the candles upside down.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ouch, ita. Or congratulations. Whichever you prefer.

Skipping hundreds of hundreds of posts, since I won't have a computer access tomorrow, to post that according to the Buffista Calendar, Saturday, the 16th, will be NoiseDesign's birthday, and to send him lots of early wishes.

Have short Fridays and good weekends, everybody. Especially those who are going to Allyson's "Lost" party, but that's pretty much a given because, well, Allyson's party.

Heya Nilly!

I'm finally, finally going to bed. All the party stuff is packed, and tomorrow I just have to pack my bag for the weekend and run a few errands, and then off to the hotel.

Oy.

And leave Ruby a lot of food. I feel terrible leaving her alone for two days, but whatcha gonna do?

She'll appreciate me more when I get back, yes?

Oh, Allyson, I know what's the time in your timezone, and I'm glad to read you're going to bed. Me, I'm going to my apartment to clean for Passover until I have to run out for the last bus for my parents for shabbat.

She'll appreciate me more when I get back, yes?

She may pretend that she doesn't, being a cat and all, but I think she definitely will.

Hopefully you won't read this, due to going-to-sleep-already, but I hope you have a good weekend, in every aspect.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Allyson, good luck with the party (although you won't need it--as DH says, you don't need luck when you've got PLANNING on your side).

ita! the hell! You're supposed to be in top form for Saturday!

The bruising will just lend add a layer of "She means business."

Nilly, I was paying my phoen bill the other day, and it was for $47.74. I was thinking, "Nilly would so appreciate that number."

I definitely pulled something moving boxes at work yesterday. My coworker and I easily moved 80-100 bankers boxes around. No lifting today.
