Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm glad the Veronica Mars talk is being whitefonted, seeing as how the ep was pre-empted here in DC for a Nationals' game.(It's supposed to air Saturday afternoon)

Aah! My folks will be arriving in a week. (Did I mention that G and I are hosting the first passover seder this year?)

Hivemind question: Has anyone ever heard of people being stopped from leaving the country (USA) if their passport is expiring soon?

Someone just told me that and it's freaking me out since I'm leaving next week and my passport expires the end of May.

Yes. Some countries will not allow entrance if the expiration date is within (sometimes three, sometimes six) months.

assemblies featuring christian rock bands

My very public high school wound up with this happening and going one better. They played a very neutral set of surf music during the assembly and were performing at a school dance that night. It was during the dance that the "Jesus Jesus whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa" stuff came out. I didn't go, but the people I knew who did felt a bit tricked. Even some of the Christian ones.

Thanks Sparky. It looks like I need to check with the Israeli embassy.

Hey. New board.

Re: VM

First of all, Veronica has definitely had some other wrong behaviors in the past, such as when she went into the whole cult episode predisposed to condemn. Just like "bomb boy" in this episode.

About the Logan/Veronica... I don't want them to get together in any serious way without some major changing and penance on his part, but, luckily, I think the writers agree with me. And I trust the writers on this show; they have yet to betray me. That kiss was written perfectly, I thought. Veronica had the perfect expression of freaked-outedness at the whole situation as she got into the car, and she did just the right amount of semi-avoiding his gaze in the journalism classroom. She won't dump Deputy Leo over this I think, though she might tell him about it leading to him dumping her. Then again, she might not mention it at all; her ethics are, after all, rather suspect at times.

I suspected, based on the explosions of happy VM LJ cuts and L/V drabbles on the internet yesterday, that Logan and Veronica would hookup in this episode, and ranted to a friend of mine (who was also waiting for today to watch) that I didn't think they could possibly set up such a situation in a way that I wouldn't hate. Yet, they did, and I have the faith that they'll continue to satisfy. Because this show is just that good.

P.S. Veronica and Mac should kiss in the next episode. That way the VM femslashers who aren't obsessed with Lilly/Veronica past-fic could squee. All three of us.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Allyson, Owen signed his first word to me tonight! It works! I was *this* close to giving up on it (which is when they say it usually sinks in).

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Wow. That's just neat. What was the word?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Cash, that's wonderful!
