Wives give Father's Day presents? I was just being annoying when I nagged my dad into giving Mummy stuff for Mother's Day.
Have you? How is it?
Actually, I haven't. I just saw mention of it on a Twilight Zone ep. And wished I had cube sugar.

Interesting What-If scenario: What if Hana Wilde (Charlotte Rampling from "The Superlative Seven") had succeeded Emma Peel instead of Tara King?
Wives give Father's Day presents?
In some families, yup. In most families, wives stage-manage the kids through Father's Day and husbands do the same for Mother's Day.
Me, I'm too lazy.

Hmm. I may have to try this. Maybe Sunday.
I think that's especially true if there are only pretty young kids.
My father would totally yell at me if I'd neglected my mother, but he was feeling way put upon at the idea he'd have to do anything.
My mother ... she probably taught me what to do, and then left me alone once I could shop by myself.
I certainly know people who get Mother's Day and Father's Day presents from their infants. Precocious credit-card users, no doubt.

This is how it is in our house, although now the kids are old enough to select their own gifts to give just not fork over 'da cash because they usually are very spendy with their own money (cf: oldest's iPod)
your husband has some damn good tasteblush Awww, thanks JZ!
Just caught up. Will undoubtably fall behind again.
Re VM (I'm cheating and copying from an e-mail to a friend.):
Veronica and Wallace's reactions in the teaser were great. Not liking the Logan/Veronica thing, though. I mean, I can understand he's in a messed up headspace right now after losing his mother. And while coming to her rescue was nice of him, he's still got a year of being a jackass to atone for. Plus, whether he annoys me or not, Leo is better for Veronica than Logan. (I like Logan the character better, but not as a love interest for Veronica.) I don't know, it could work, but it seems way too soon. I noticed Veronica smiling at his jokes in the class and thought "Good, she's not seeing him as an enemy anymore" but this was too much too fast. Glad to see Meg and Mac in the episode though.
Also, someone said something it would be nice to see Veronica wrong for once. She's been wrong before, in both "Rusky Business" and "Mars vs. Mars". Granted, it's not the standard state of affairs, but she hasn't been infallible.
Kalshane, you want to whitefont the discussion of VM's fallibility? It's spoilery.
