Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Butter on a toasted raison-cinnamon is my second favorite bagel.

My favorite is the same minus the raisons. And I have to use real butter, not the "I can't believe it's not butter" or other health friendly choices.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I like using slightly toasted bagels for sandwiches instead of bread.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Thank you, Kate P.

And congrats, Stephani!

I used to like making bagel pizzas. Put a little pizza sauce on a sliced bagel, cover it with a lot of mozzerella, stick it under the broiler until the cheese is brown and bubbly. Yum!

Trust my rage

(And yes, I'm a member of NC Bar.)

Oh, that's cool; I didn't know that. But you don't live here, right?

I've signed up for BARBRI's "self-study" program. It's not really how I wanted to do it, but since I'll be having a baby during the normal 6 week course, it was the best option. The benefit this way is that I'm supposed to get my materials by May 1st. Also, I don't think I'm supposed to, but I'm thinking about trying to attend some of the lectures for the regular course.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I clearly have not consumed enough caffeine for a testicle bondage conversation.

I think I'd OD on caffeine before I ever reached a point where I'd consumed enough.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I don't know from BARBRI, but is there any way you can set up a study group kind of deal with classmates who are doing the self-study, to get some of the hivemind benefits even though you can't go to a regular class?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

It's only 10:30am and already I'm so painfully bored. But apparently not bored enough to read the e-mail the help desk guy keeps forwarding me, because apparently helping people does not fall under his purview as help desk guy.

Except it turns out I am that bored, and help desk guy doesn't know how to use the site he's technical support for, which no doubt explains why he's always passing stuff off on me.

Somewhere out there, some monkeys just finished typing King Lear.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That Project Greenlight article was great, but isn't it not on until tomorrow night?

Good luck with the bar, Stephanie.

What is even happening?

You are thinking of the humunculous theory (I don't guarantee the spelling on that one, btw). And as to which society, well, um, ours (meaning the West); the theory is also fairly modern AFAIK (meaning the Enlightenment, not Ancient Greece or some such).

It was also theorized that the male's left testicle produced girls and the right produced boys, so if you wanted to ensure the sex of your baby, you tied off the undesired testicle. Needless to say, this technique was flawed.

Thank you, Burrell.

I'll re-ask the other question I asked in Bitches, just because there's a slightly different group, here. Does anyone know of a site that might have a table or list of the various theories? I'm thinking something like The Romans thought... The Celts thought... The people of India thought... etc. Google has given me only a smidgen of--I can't even call it love--it's teased me, basically.

By the way, I'm not asking for anything important. I am just wondering. Thanks again, everyone.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have a phone interview at 10. It's for a job I'm not sure I want, least of all because I didn't catch the company name when she called me to set it up yesterday. Oops.
