Don't worry, we're sure to spot Faith first. She's like this cleavagy slut-bomb walking around 'Ooh, check me out, I'm wicked-cool, I'm five-by-five.'

Ann, that's a ferret.

Cindy, brenda gave the digest version of what's at my link.

Calli, health-ma to your mother. Also, on the fingernails part, is a manicure an option? I was an incurable nailbiter until I started getting manicured. Plus, it can be relaxing in its own right.

Trust my rage

I just found out that I passed the ethics exam (needed to get my bar license)! Almost everyone passes, but it still makes me feel good to know that I have one less thing to worry about.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

My favorite breakfast is a pumpernickle bagel with vegetable cream cheese and a decaf hazlenut coffee with milk.

I can't even.

I know disturbingly too much about Bernardo/Homolka as we prosecuted that case here. Essentially, the manslaughter deal with her was made before the hidden videotapes were produced by the defence, in order to seal the case against the most wanted man in the country. The defence lawyer responsible for that was later disbarred. 12 years is a top-end manslaughter sentence, and now she has served her time.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Calli, I hope they can figure out quickly what's going on with your mom. I'm crossing my fingers that it's nothing serious.

eta: and congrats to Stephanie!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yay noniasteph! Not that any of us doubted your ethics.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Is there sex-offender registry in Toronto/Canada? Cause I can't think of a better candidate.

As for student loan interest, I gather the question has gone by, but it's a deduction you can do on the 1040 and 1040A forms (but not the 1040EZ), with no "schedule ABCXYZ" extra forms.

Who, me? Do my brother's taxes and puzzle out whether he owes capital gains? How did you guess?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Congrats, Stephanie!

If you're willing to disclose, which state's bar are you going for?

Trust my rage

Here in North Carolina. It's where I be living for the next 2-3 years at least. I'm mostly interested in immigration law, however, which I can practice anywhere as long as I've passed the bar somewhere (or so I've been led to believe).

The bar itself is looming over me like a giant sword. Graduation doesn't even seem fun. I will be so relieved when it's over.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I seem to recall before it was known that the male contributed the sperm and the female contributed the egg, that one theory was that the male sort of planted a whole mini-baby, but can't--for the life of me--remember which society, or when.

You are thinking of the humunculous theory (I don't guarantee the spelling on that one, btw). And as to which society, well, um, ours (meaning the West); the theory is also fairly modern AFAIK (meaning the Enlightenment, not Ancient Greece or some such).

It was also theorized that the male's left testicle produced girls and the right produced boys, so if you wanted to ensure the sex of your baby, you tied off the undesired testicle. Needless to say, this technique was flawed.
