Err, "One" by Aimee Mann? (I think it was a cover but can't remember whose song it was originally.) Because I have this mental image of Aimee singing "One" by Metallica to little Emeline, and it's cracking me up.
Metallica isn;t until after her first birthday. "One" from A Chorus Line. As in singular sensation. Every little step she takes.
Vonnie, I assumed "One" from A Chorus Line.

Get outta my head Sean. You'll muck it up.
Amy used to sing Queensryche to Kenny.
With the Empress, it's gotta be that musical-theater "One," or if it isn't it should be. Because I can totally picture Aimée telling Emeline that she's one singular sensation and that one smile and suddenly nobody else will do.
And now, shit, I've earwormed myself.

Get outta my head Sean. You'll muck it up.
Pffft.... Like it's not already way too late for that.
huh - I was assuming "One" by U2. Too many "One"s.
I hear a mix-cd coming out. All song's titled One.
See, my first thought was "One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do..."
