Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I loathe Susan

Heh. When I first read this I was skimming, sort of thought I was in Bitches, where I'd just made 2-3 posts, and my initial reaction was, "What did I do?"

(I don't even watch Desperate Housewives, but I've yet to run across a fictional Susan who isn't a bitch or no longer a friend of Narnia or somehow ridiculous or something.)

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

lynette is the character I see as most real. and even though I don't have kids , something about the everydayness of her poroblems and mistakes make it easy to identify with her. Susan , I liked at the beginning - and I think if she handled her kluttzyness with more grace- i could deal with her better. Or planned for it better. ( have an autoclub membership ( or at least carry a cell phone) , give a neighber a key, ) . gabrieel is sorta like watching a train wreck. no sympathy, but I don't hate her, 'cause I don't expect much from her. Bree is hard one for me. She suffers from the sin of self-rightousness, mixed with some major flaws. I haven't seen last night's ep, but the disrespect shown to her by her son, earned. I get really angry about her. but on the other hand she is such a characiture that I can't see her as real.

forgot Edie - who doesn't really ping me one way or the other. she seems more like a catalyst than a character

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I've yet to run across a fictional Susan who isn't a bitch or no longer a friend of Narnia or somehow ridiculous or something.

The Discworld has a pretty awesome Susan.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I'ma have to read those for that alone.

Hells, yeah. I love Susan Sto-Helit.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

A Susan who kicks ass?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Susan on Coupling was by far the most sensible character.
