Angel: Eve. So, I guess we should, I don't know, talk? Eve: About what? Angel: About what happened back there with us. Eve: Angel, it's not like this is the first time I've had sex under a mystical influence. I went to U.C. Santa Cruz.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, the combination of craiglist and google maps is like the coolest thing ever: [link]

Truly we live in a golden age.

And New Yorkers have both the NYC map portal and hopstop, so we can get anywhere and find anything!!!

awesome.

I am glad I double checked that map against what the interview lady told me. She directed me to a Canal street stop when Broadway/Lafayette is the closest. Crazy.

If I only had a brain...

I loathe Susan; she isn't as cute as she thinks she is. In general, the characters are all over the map -- one episode Bree is sympathetic, the next she's a stone bitch. The writing is way inconsistent.

I think my hierarchy is Lynette, Susan, Bree, Edie, Gabrielle. But I don't like any of them much.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ack! My movers that were supposed to be here this afternoon will be here in about half an hour.

There's no way I will get everything I need to done in time, so I decided to just eat breakfast and catch up here before getting to work, instead of driving myself nuts for an extra 15 minutes.

eta: I'm with msbelle: I don't watch DH anymore, but Lynette was my favorite.

Good luck with the interview, msbelle.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I loathe Susan

Heh. When I first read this I was skimming, sort of thought I was in Bitches, where I'd just made 2-3 posts, and my initial reaction was, "What did I do?"

(I don't even watch Desperate Housewives, but I've yet to run across a fictional Susan who isn't a bitch or no longer a friend of Narnia or somehow ridiculous or something.)

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

lynette is the character I see as most real. and even though I don't have kids , something about the everydayness of her poroblems and mistakes make it easy to identify with her. Susan , I liked at the beginning - and I think if she handled her kluttzyness with more grace- i could deal with her better. Or planned for it better. ( have an autoclub membership ( or at least carry a cell phone) , give a neighber a key, ) . gabrieel is sorta like watching a train wreck. no sympathy, but I don't hate her, 'cause I don't expect much from her. Bree is hard one for me. She suffers from the sin of self-rightousness, mixed with some major flaws. I haven't seen last night's ep, but the disrespect shown to her by her son, earned. I get really angry about her. but on the other hand she is such a characiture that I can't see her as real.

forgot Edie - who doesn't really ping me one way or the other. she seems more like a catalyst than a character

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I've yet to run across a fictional Susan who isn't a bitch or no longer a friend of Narnia or somehow ridiculous or something.

The Discworld has a pretty awesome Susan.
