See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oooh, there's some nice places for dessert in Harvard Square -- there's also Finale and a couple of good ice cream places. t /nostalgia for my cow-eatin' days

It's not as warm as it was yesterday -- we're lucky if it reaches 50 -- but at least it's sunny and the birds are singing, and my yard is cleaner than it was....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Owen!!

Oh THAT's who that one guy on Grey's Anatomy was. I was not in love with the show -- I found the voiceover annoying.

Happy Birthday, Owen! Enjoy your pretty cake.

I've seen one episode of Grey's Anatomy. Not the first one. It was OK, but it didn't suck me in. Probably just as well.

Looks like another beautiful day out, chirping birds and all.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Happy Birthday, Owen!!!

Wouldn't it be neat if Princess Tickybox made her first appearance today?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Wouldn't it be neat if Princess Tickybox made her first appearance today?

Best. Birthday. Present. Ever.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, Owen!

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

Drive-by. If anyone is feeling nostalgic for stortroopers (the pixelated characters who did such sterling work to make our time on WorldCrossing a little more enjoyable), they are back with an expanded wardrobe selection: [link]

I saw it on boingboing, so expect the site to crash soon.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I was at a baseball game today, but it was Jays and Red Sox.

So, Mr. Sweden, what do you think of the changes to Skydome Rogers Centre? We decided that late-inning grounder to Bellhorn, that should have been a double play but wasn't, was a result of the sand kicking up off the ball like a mirage. (When you see something moving on the "grass" in your peripheral vision, you've got to wonder whether you actually have the ball in your glove.)

Also, who thought those displays on the outfield wall were a plan? And who, based on that plan, thought it was a good idea to install sharpened panels??

In other news, I saw a motorcade this morning on my way to work. It was at Arlington and St. James Ave. in the Back Bay, heading west, a caravan of black SUVs and motorcycle cops stoppnig traffic. George W. Bush? Kofi Annan? J. Lo? I would say it's something related to the opener at Fenway, but I don't think any of those three cools his/her heels for the 4 hours before the rigmarole gets underway at 1.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Happy Birthday Owen!

I caught up on Grey's Anatomy with the reruns on Saturday. I like it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Susie Bright says Andrea Dworkin is dead.
