The "I'm so broken" makes sense for me to like, obviously. The "Oh, you'll live to regret this!" NSM. Having never broken up. I think everyone likes the "I'm not broken after all!" songs (cf I'm A Believer), so I don't find my love of that song topic quite as interesting.

You are making me remember how booooring junior high/middle school dances were. And a couple of my friends did a talent show thing to Sunglasses at Night in 3rd or 4th grade. So funny.

I think until I started driving, the only time I really heard pop was over at friends' homes or at school. My parents had the monopoly on the tv and radio.

I got a big hate on for Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love is". Sounds less like a love song and more like strangled whining to me.

C'mon! Even Paul Westerberg loves that song. It's perfect pop/gospel/pseudosoul.
