You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Generally when folks put really personally identifiable information on here, or in press, they delete it soon afterwards. Maybe I'm overly cautious by nature. But everybody's free to use their own discretion.

Wolfram should never read my livejournal. My journal name is just my full name. I'm all lalalalalala-internet-stalkers-come-kill-me!

Actually, it's more of a philosophical thing. I believe internet anonymity to be illusory at best, and that the only real solution is to be perfectly open about who you are, and to stand by what you say.

Frankly, I don't see how posting my address on the internet is any different from filling out a form or saying it out loud in public (giving it to a visitor over the phone, or telling the mechanic, etc), and even if I'm not the person posting it, it does exist on the internet in any number of databases whose security is also illusory.

Stalker threats are overblown anyway.

Which is not to be all Wolfram's a doo-doo head or anything, I just felt the need to wax on about my bizarre personal internt philosphies.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm somewhere in between -- I tend not to post my real name (or other people's) for the sake of the casual browser, but anyone who was really trying to stalk me would suss me out in about twelve seconds, and I'm okay with that -- they'd find me by other means if I unplugged all the computers forever, and serious paranoia just isn't worth the trouble.

Also, here's my credit card number: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx exp xx/xx

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I tend not to post my real name

Huh. And here I thought that "Ch" was your last name.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Jess, I'm pretty sure I've bought green peppercorns in brine at Whole Foods.

I must have, as I have some. I think they were near the pickles and olives.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Stalker threats are overblown anyway.

Oy. I've already been stalked, in a relatively minimal way, and no. I don't think it's overblown at all.

Standing by what one says isn't the issue. I don't think it comes into your average stalked female scenario at all.

My whole not using my name on LJ has nothing to do with the strength of my convictions. I don't want to be taken a shine to by someone who shows up on my doorstep.

Having had my personal information given to a retailer also used -- yes, it's a possibility, and yes, I try to mitigate it by not sharing too much too casually with people who get my name and number for other reasons.

As for out here, on the internet -- I'm not unhard to find IRL. But if you do come find me, it's somewhere I feel most secure.
