Congrats, Jim! Early May is a fine time to be born (says the May 7th baby).
From yesterday, here's my doll: [link]
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Nothing I've seen online has really stopped me from getting to what I needed to, so the pranking isn't bothering me.
Of course, the world is whirling merrily around my head, so what's a prank got to offer?
You know what?
I'm getting really sick of hearing about significant job-related decisions that come out of a review first from the media instead of, I dunno, the board making the decisions? HQ? Head of operations?
Way to build loyalty.
I always knew the universe rotated around ita.
The exact thing happened at my company, sara, where a series of layoffs were mentioned in the press before they were announced to the employees.
That's horrifying. I'm just as glad not to work places that are covered by the media, mostly.
I got something useful done today! I just called to have my cable (internet and TV) disconnected here and installed up north.
Maybe it's time for a shower, or a nap.
It's just maddening. Part of it is a BIG tension between the appointed politics of the umbrella organization and the core mission of our little bit. There is a lot of alienation that is now fundamentally built in. Well, not built, but...well, it got added. Stupid politics. Basically, the official party line is that our project? They don't care about. They want it gone. I guess this is manifesting itself in careless communication.
(I'm sitting here, trying to be somewhat cryptic and figuring so much so it doesn't make sense unless you know. Oh well.)

Me too! I opened a joint checking account with JZ.
Frankly, I'm finding all the April Fool's jokes I'm seeing online to be tiresome. Could be I'm just in a crappy mood today, though.
Every page where an organization or blog (LJ or pagesixsixsix, for example) announces a change to its core mission or function-- it's tired, people. I haven't seen anything particularly clever today.
