No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I need a new car.

Okay, I don't. But plastic in my vicinity (not just on the Jetta) seems to be shattering as I approach. And now every time I look at a Prius, I get a squirmy-envious feeling in my stomach. At least I know not to shop while that is still happening.

Coffee Bean obsessive!

Well...yeah. I told you the story about when I was leaving for Vegas and D at the Bean said, "You know we have stores there now?"

And then I admitted that I did know that and, in fact, had already printed out the list of locations and put it in my binder.

what with the car love and all.

This reminds me. I keep seeing those Mercedes billboards everyone. "Love What You Drive." It makes me want to send them a little note, "Thanks for the concern but I do love what I drive. And it's not a Mercedes."

What is even happening?

Well, I was lying down. Does that count? I've never been crafty.

My parents have a Prius. It's a really nice car. I'd like to have one, but it doesn't fit in the budget and I'd miss the manual transmission. Now the Honda Civic hybrid costs less and can be had with a manual tranmission, but alas, the buget doesn't support that either.

Ah, How much do I love this! You are crazy.

I don't have a Bean love, but I have an iced tea love.

I love iced tea too. Especially orange-spice ice tea.

Hello, my name Kristen and I'm a latte-a-holic.

And now I think I shall sneak out of work early today so I can drive home while the sun is still shining.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Now I think I may actually get all the way dressed for the first time today just so I can go over to the Grove and have a Moroccan mint latte thing.

Maybe if I wait a few minutes the urge will pass and I can stay in my pjs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have an iced chai latte love (come on summer!) and the Bean one beats Starbucks hands down.

I'm not sure what I have against driving a Civic, especially since I like Hondas and know I don't want an Accord, and don't want an SUV either. But I can't make myself eager about the hybrid Civic.

VW needs to make a hybrid convertible Jetta, and then I'll be theirs forever.

But I can't make myself eager about the hybrid Civic.

It's sort of plain. The Prius has a definite high-tech coolness factor going.
