Mal: Gotta say, doctor, your talent for alienatin' folk is near miraculous. Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Surgeons completed the operation by fitting a metal socket to Mr Nagle's head so he could be hooked up to a computer.

Neuromancer, baby!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I felt badly her priest wasn't allowed to give her communion on Easter.

Didn't he? I had heard that she did take communion. (Wine on the tongue, at any rate.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I felt badly her priest wasn't allowed to give her communion on Easter.

Cindy, if you feel comfortable sharing, do you think there was a there there, wrt her person-ness. Enough to be part of communion, or even benefit from anything other than last rites?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I felt badly her priest wasn't allowed to give her communion on Easter.

I thought he did-ish. He gave her a drop of wine, but couldn't give her the wafer.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Surgeons completed the operation by fitting a metal socket to Mr Nagle's head so he could be hooked up to a computer.

What kind of socket? USB? FireWire? Fiber optic? Punch card reader?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Season 2 of Firefly, baby!

Neuromancer, baby!

Gotta say, I'd pick the first one.

I wonder what sort of adaptor he needs if he goes overseas?

Thrive to spite them

I'm confused about the claim that Terri didn't receive communion because on Easter there were reports that she'd recieved a drop of wine, but wasn't able to accept the piece of wafer.

Hellbound Equal-Opportunity Nookie Hog

I thought he did-ish. He gave her a drop of wine, but couldn't give her the wafer.

There had been a report that Michael had said no, but later changed his mind. And it went exactly as you described it (according to reports).

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

You're allowed to give communion to people who aren't mentally there? Do they give communion to people in comas, too? I guess I thought there had to be some kind of volition involved in it, but maybe not.

I do remember reading over the weekend that she was given last rites.
