Book: Yes, I'd forgotten you're moonlighting as a criminal mastermind now. Got your next heist planned? Simon: No. But I'm thinking about growing a big black mustache. I'm a traditionalist.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Don't mean to be schmoopy, but for me, having the BF around makes crappy stuff less crappy. Not only someone to share with, but Teh Sex and Teh funniness and knowing he has my back.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

No. His problems haven't all gone away. But he's realized being Spiderman is worth the sacrifices, plus now that he has MJ, that's one less sacrifice he has to make.

I can't even.

One mockable line does not a bad movie make. I'm not saying it didn't have its flaws

Omigod, the flaws. 30 year Spidey fan, but not of the movies. Sheesh. Mostly that Tobey Maguire is horrible casting for Parker, but that's just the beginning of the litany of suck.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Emily, Parker pulled A Christmas Carol and its:

'What!' exclaimed the Ghost, 'would you so soon put out, with worldly hands, the light I give?"

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

My favorite was the part where he had to live in Manhattan because there aren't enough tall buildings to swing from in outer Brooklyn. No wonder he has money woes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not only someone to share with, but Teh Sex and Teh funniness and knowing he has my back.

Well, I guess if Mary Jane were paying some of the rent, sure. But having the things I was supposed to believe were honestly problematic waved away at the end of the movie just undercut any empathy I might have had for the man.

Coding and Sleeping

I only saw the first SM movie, but what struck me the most was "hey, didn't he make the web shooters?" I thought the movie was fun though.

I think TM did a great job as Peter. But obviously, different opinions.

Yeah. I had a problem with that, too but was willing to deal with it.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Mostly that Tobey Maguire is horrible casting for Parker

I would have preferred someone else, but I grew to accept TM as Peter.

The organic webshooters, though -- I almost had an embolism in the theater. Ptui. Let us speak of it no more.

Didn't see Spidey2 so can't comment on that.

But, the string of "NOs" thrown at the parents in the Schiavo case has unfortunately earwormed me with David Spade's irritating NO commercial for whatever - some airline miles thing?
