Words like "small cell" and "injury" in conjuction with "Emmett" will leap out and bite you.
Emmett's currently in the tub and feeling no pain. Tomorrow he gets a "closed reduction" which means he goes under for 10 minutes and they squish the broken bones back together. Minor routine procedure (as I remind myself incessantly to fight back the tide of parental anxiety).
Emmett is looking forward to the exciting facial cast he gets to wear.

I want to go hoooooome.
I do not want to be at the office anymore. I want my carpool partner to get out of her late late meeting and instant message me to let me know we are LEAVING the Evil Empire for the night.

Hey, look. It's a Gus.
Is Emmett going to have Braveheart style warpaint on the facial cast?
Second the warpaint. Also, a teeshirt that says "You should see the other guy!"

Jilli!!! You're not allowed to be at work this late.
OK
1)I want to compare scars with Em. You should see my nasty dog bite that the nice nurse with the gold tooth sewed up. I still put makeup on it cause it's kinda gross (to me, hubby swears he doesn't notice it)
2) My Christian Romance novel would not confirm to the CBA guidelines- just ask the youth group at the Baptist church in my hometown circa. 1993
3) I would like to skip to 2 weeks from now when the guitar show is over and I'm not doing the work of an ad agency, an assistant, a day laborer and a shrink.
I want to compare scars with Em.

Anyway. So I forgot to mention -- the map in my photo album (yes, there are only three photos. Oops) is a hand-colored map of Cheshire, with the place names from the Domesday book (thus, Cestrescire), including the town where my mother's family came from originally. By originally, of course, I actually mean after 1066 but before, say, 1750; additionally, I'm pretty sure the actual descent-line got broken at some point in there, so genetically it's not the same family. But honestly, who cares? It's still got her name on it (kind of -- actually, in 1086 they spelled the town very differently).
Er, I ramble. I just thought it was wicked cool and am really excited it got here. Yay!
Sorry, I meant the tinier, less feminine Em.
But really, I've got the childhood scars. I'd already broken my head by the time I was 4. I have a huuuuuge dent.

DH isn't here - but I have to ask... which guitar show
