Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

When I was in the Navy, I did a lot of "preventative maintenance." Whether or not it's wrong, it didn't stop us from doing it anyway. That whole phrase just never looked right from the gitgo.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

"Preventive" is the correct one, but "preventative" gets more play just from misuse spreading, like "a whole nother."

IMDB says Hayden Church is playing Venom in Spidey 3.

Venom? VENOM? VENOM?

Don't get me wrong; I love Venom, and as long as it's done well (and I have no reason to think it won't be, since 1 and 2 were so good), it could kick serious ass.

But -- what about Harry finding the Green Goblin Craxy Supply Warehouse? What about one-armed Dr. Connors???

Ignore me. I'll be over here getting my geek on.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

1 and 2 were so good

?!

Okay, so I never saw the first one, but I mocked the 2nd one mercilessly.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I just had cause to use the phrase "the law peeps got your back, yo".

Can I be sent home sick too??

(No, not in a work context, although I've been Miss Logorrhea all day.)

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Interesting skyline ranking, though like Sail, I think there is an asthetic factor that is not being considered. Not that I'm sure how to take it into consideration.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Okay, so I never saw the first one, but I mocked the 2nd one mercilessly.

aurelia is dead to me.

Can I be sent home sick too??

Too? I think Fred was the only sick person with the intelligence to stay home today.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Terri Schiavo is not brain-dead; she talks and she laughs, and she expresses happiness and discomfort. Terri Schiavo is not on life-support.

umm, what?!?!! Since when was she talking?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

She stood up yesterday and demanded to know who the FUCK the Half-Blood Prince is.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think she's also been heard cheering Duke.
