Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Frances had an ear infection

Poor thing.

She gets that there is a baby inside me.

The funny thing is, as a grownup, I still find it so difficult to grasp.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Perhaps if you saw a recent picture of me.... It's either a baby or a basketball.

I'm looking at my friend B's 4-months-old baby, remembering the way she looked right before giving birth (a bit quite a-symmetric basketball), and can't connect the two. How that little creature who already can communicate with the world, used to be that basketball.

Oh, and I've seen pictures of you from when you were pregnant with Franny, from the LA F2F.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Timelies, everyone.

At this point in the pregnancy, you can easily see the squirming that's going on, so you know that there's something alive in there. It's both reassuring and uncanny.

Hey, Hil!

It's both reassuring and uncanny.

To me, it's one of those things that I just can't imagine, I guess.

B kept saying how much her baby kicked, when he was still inside her. And now, he still doesn't stop moving his feet. If he's awake - they're moving. It makes so much sense, and still strange. Also, he used to get the hiccups all the time, and he still does now after he was born. So in a way one can see the continuation, that it was the same, well, person.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

During the Peanuts part? I totally guessed he was under the kite eating tree.

Me, too, once we got a good look at the tree, but before it started chomping on the pumpkin.

Though I may have laughed hardest at Charlie Brown calling Lucy "Bitch!" in the football scene.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Speaking of VM - the last episode ended with her finding her mother in that bar, right?

Hey, Hil!

Hey Nilly!

Huh. I just got my third "This is almost a confirmation, but not quite" email from birthright israel. From the looks of it, there's just one more email I have to wait for before I find out whether I'm actually going. I swear, this is more complicated than applying to grad school was.

That's really neat.
