I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Oh god, I love the idea that he contra dances. Do you contra as well, Trudy? I used to, but stopped doing it because I was having too much trouble with getting left on the sidelines...

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The contra dancing was at a wedding, it was delightful.

Cool. It's a very social activity.

Compassionately intolerant

Contra dancing at the Spanish Ballroom in DC is like a religion for many. EVERY week for decades. You almost can't stay on the sidelines. I love it, except for the pathologically sweaty men. ew.

An old friend once exclaimed,"Contra dancing. Isn't that standing still?"

The gender balance here skews sometimes and I guess because I'm tall, I'll end up without a partner. If it happens enough times, I just stop going because not only is it a bummer, but it's a waste of money.

I still keep my hand in with vintage ballroom dancing, though.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Kate did it to herself. Kate did it to herself -- I'd not recognise that as her.

Nooooooooooooooo!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Kate has that freaky look like Meg Ryan-- it's just nasty to look at.

We kept joking about Sandanistas and covert Iranian arms deals.
