Best. Trek. Evah! A note it's the one that had (1) major arcs, (2) the most angst/darkness, and (3) let major characters have conflicts with each other for the entire run of the series.
yes! Although, I wish they had let Kira stay more bitter. She evolved and grew and matured and always kept a hint of bitter, but I wish she would have had relapses into full-on bitter. She was fun like that.
Eh, I thought the replacement of Dax was a little shark-jumpy
Good point. I wish they hadn't replaced her at all. They should have let Dax get a new host and move on to another place.
On the other hand, watching the other characters' reaction to New!Improved!Dax was fun for the writers and viewers.

In a perfect world Dax would have come back with a male host to really confuse things, but as much as I'm sure that some people (actors and writers) on DS9 would have loved to do it, the powers that be on Trek as a whole would have never let it happen.
Has the Trek 'verse ever done the gay thing?
OK, Riker fell for an androgyne but I think that was as close as they got....
Yeah, if you recall in the story that introduced Trills, the dealbreaker for Beverly Crusher was not that she was falling for a symbiotic eggplant-looking creature, or that it was essentially possessing one of her friends while wooing her, but that its new host body had boobs.

To bring the conversation full circle, Kira sort of made out with her (mirrorverse) self, I don't know if that counts.
Oh, Indendent Kira made the moves on anything female, IIRC.

She made the moves on anythinig breathing, IIRC.
Hi, ChiKat!
t Kermit-waves wildly
I always got the impression from her that she viewed males as being more boy-toys than seduction targets--she saved that for her female prey.
