I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

"Why do you say you feel trapped in a man's body?

"Well, sometimes I get them menstrual cramps real hard."

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

HAHAHAHA! How could I have forgotten that one??

Compassionately intolerant

My fave Arizona line:

"Hi, I need a baby in the worst way."

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

LOVE Raising Arizona. I'd forgotten about the "Not lessen round is funny," line. It made me crack up.

I haven't looked at the AFI quote list yet, but here's one I haven't seen people quoting here that I'd expect to be on there:

"Hey buddy, can you help out a fellow American who's down on his luck?"

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Libertine trailer.

Mmmmmmmmm. Johnny Depp, John Malkiovich, and Jack Davenport in a sexy costume drama. I can't wait.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just read an excellent review of Jarhead by James Berardinelli. Sounds like an interesting take on the war movie genre:

But, instead of accomplishing what they were trained to do, they wait, and Godot is nowhere to be found. Portraying these personality transformations is where Jarhead excels, and the reason why this isn't just another of the growing number of dramas about the Gulf War.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

So, I'm thinking about renting a some silly "scary" movies tonight for a possible party. I was inspired by the discussion of Alone in the Dark here a couple days ago. Anyone have any suggestions for something ostensibly "scary" that will 1, not horrify and 2, please a bunch of comedians?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, returning to an old topic, I rediscovered a movie last night that scared the crap out of me. It's the Tony Shalhoub remake (I think it's a remake) of 13 Ghosts.
