You know me! I'm like, "Go school! It's your birthday!" Or something to that effect.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Shaolin Soccer appears to be in theaters now

It's been out on DVD for a while.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm sure there's an explanation for no one mentioning The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's been out on DVD for a while.

Into the Netflix queue it goes, then. It was The Cup I was remembering, though.

The Natural is about baseball.

I am still convinced that The Natural is about selling your soul to the devil, just the scenes explaining that somehow got edited out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I haven't seen The Natural. Is there a specific way it was about baseball?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Is there a specific way it was about baseball?

The baseball games are kind of a dead giveaway.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I am still convinced that The Natural is about selling your soul to the devil, just the scenes explaining that somehow got edited out.

I think it's a biography of Satchel Paige, except they cast him as white. Plus hoodoo.

What sporty movies have I seen? Besides, like, the original MASH, which I am not sure it really counts.

As opposed to the tricksily disguised soccer games in Bend It Like Beckham, you mean?

Art Crawl!!!

Doesn't it start off with a bat hitting a ball? (The Natural, I mean.)

Gotcha. Y'know, I've managed to avoid seeing The Natural all the way through somehow.
