So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I have no memory of MM in Lone Star.

McConaughey's role was showy and charismatic, but also about 8 minutes of a 2 hour film. That movie belonged to Chris Cooper, lock stock and barrel.

However, I have vivid ones of CC.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Gretchen Mol is the poster child for Vanity Fair should not try to make stars all on their own. Due to it not working.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I have no memory of MM in Lone Star.

Me neither and I live with him! :)

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Huh. IMDB's poll of the day question looks suspiciously Buffista-ish and was created by a Dawn K. ::narrows eyes, looks So-Cal-ward::

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

McConaughey played the young sherriff's deputy in Lone Star, Chris Cooper's father. He was only in flashbacks.

Dazed and Confused had lots of people in it -- it was an indie cornucopia. Parker Posey, Ben Affleck (when he was indie), Joey Lauren Adams, Adam Goldberg, that blond guy who went on to star in Rent, Rory Cochrane who was on CSI Miami until this year, and the dude who played Floyd (who only seems overexposed because he is an identical twin).

I didn't hear about McConaughey till his Vanity Fair summer. In fact, I had already seen Dazed and Confused, and I went back and looked for him, and couldn't find him in that movie by sight. He had to open his mouth before I recognized him.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oooh, on Alatriste -- Mortenson is not only fluent in Spanish, he has a regional accent in it.

As well... Wood as Iggy Pop!!!???

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

couldn't find him in that movie by sight

Really? I could spot that man as a silhouette. He's so damned distinctive when he's moving.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

As well... Wood as Iggy Pop!!!???

This makes no sense to anybody.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

To be fair, he's not moving a lot in this movie. And has really distractingly different hair and a mustache. And, 80% of the movie is so dark you're lucky you can see anything at all.
