Does anybody even like flight attendants?
The ones I know personally, yes.
As a profession... well, it's a profession.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Oh, if you thought their demonstrations were bad in Cinci, you should have seen them out here in LA. Two seconds away from riotsville the whole time. It was a little tense.
As a cop told Tommy on "Rescue Me" this year as he was trying to wiggle out of a ticket by being all "I'm a fucking hero...twin towers, blah, blah." "9/11 was four years ago, pal. Deal with it." (He is brave, but he was driving like a bat outta hell and deserved the fricking ticket.)
"Those aren't flight attendants! THOSE ARE STEWARDESSES!!!"
Most of the time, I'm not thinking about flight attendants at all. When I do, I respect them as members of a service profession, without any particular like or dislike attached.
See, most of my noticing of flight attendants has been when they are not being good members of a service profession. I respect good service, and, since I've worked in resturaunts, I think I can tell when there should be allowances for lapses in same, but generally I think good service is...invisible? Seamless? Neither is quite what I mean.
In a perfect world, I'll never see a flight attendant do anything other than a waiter impersonation.
I know they got other skills, but I just don't want to be around when they're needed.
However, since we get to be mean about doctors and lawyers and presidents, who the hell is a flight attendant to start getting huffy.

You should sue.
Just talked to MM - he says, "Every time a flight attendant fails to get my beer on time or crashes into my legs with that cart - she is disrespecting those passengers that died on 9/11."
Sick man. I love him so.
I don't think I can stress enough how awesome this clip is.
Laughed aloud, and at length. That one's getting linked to everyone I know.
