There was a DC character back in the day called Shrinking Violet, but she got smaller. I assumed this Violet was Shrinking also, but because shy.
And Mirage turned out to be not what she seemed. (Or exactly what she seemed, since she followed the Bond Girl trope to the letter).
By the way, Raq, I'm finding information on the Marigny by looking at local NOLA blogs. Apparently it's one of the best off areas of the city. It hasn't even been flooded yet and they just have trees down over there.
Whew! Thanks, Hec. I was just speed-reading Natter to find out. Guess my friends picked a good place to buy.

It's my favorite neighborhood - I've stayed there every time I go to NOLA. I'm very selfishly happy that it's doing okay so far.
Oh, I totally didn't get the Violet thing till now. Don't feel so bad, Aims.
Syndrome's goal of making everyone super so no one would be was the genesis of the whole conflict
Well, keep in mind he wasn't planning on making "everyone super" until after he was too old to play superhero anymore, at which point he was going to sell all of his inventions. The conflict wasn't because he wanted everybody to be super, but because he wanted no one but him to be super (by killing everyone who could be) until he was no longer capable of it.
I'm loving the discussion on
The Incredibles,
even though I have nothing intelligent to add.
More Buffistas need to watch "The Wire"
It's in my Netflix queue. I'll probably post with much squeeing in LJ as I watch.
This was in my Wizardnews update this morning:
ELIJAH WOOD TO PLAY IGGY POP?
According to music news site Gigwise, a new top secret film about the life and times of Iggy Pop is currently in the planning stages and is scheduled to start filming in 2006. Mr Pop will be played Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood.
Mr Pop
This never fails to amuse me.
Ya know, I'm just not making the Frodo-Iggy connection.
