Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

The Lady Vanishes

But that's not Powe... oh. OK, not an entire day of Michael Powell-fest. Heh. 'S cool. Actually the line-up for that whole day is pretty kick-ass. I adore The Lady Vanishes, To Have and Have Not, and of course, Out of the Past.

5:00 PM A Matter of Life and Death (1947) An injured aviator argues in celestial court for the chance to go on living. David Niven, Kim Hunter, Robert Coote. D: Michael Powell, Emeric Pressburger. 104m.

I Know Where I'm Going

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!

Um, ahem, sorry about that, but I keep on delaying buying the Criterion DVD of this due to brokeness, and I love it to pieces even though I've only seen it once, about 15 years ago. One of the most romantic films ever.
