If I hear any hint that he's going to reprise that peeing-on-himself schtick onstage, I'm going to buy a front row ticket and bring jumper cables. I'll plead Poetic Justice at my trial.
Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I already posted a variation of this in my LJ, but I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this weekend. While there were a lot of good things about the movie, the musical scenes with the Oompa Lompas kind of ruined it for me, because I kept thinking "It's The Apple , but with really really short people/person".
I blame Jessica for this, of course.

Blah -- Holmes in the next Batman? Whyever?
ita -- I heard a rumor: death of Katie's character by the Joker.
I heard a rumor: death of Katie's character by the Joker.
Thus sending Bats on a deadly spiral of rage and vengence. Until he realizes that he doesn't care all that much, but figures he has to deal with the Joker anyway, what with the whole Protector of Gotham thing.
And they've conceived this as a way to make the Joker an unsympathetic antagonist that the audience will want Batman to stop?
I saw The Aristocrats this weekend. Oh my god, I just about cried laughing in parts of it, and squirmed uncomfortably in others. It lived right up to my expectations.
Who knew Bob Saget would make me laugh the hardest in the whole movie?
I have seen The Real Bob Saget do his standup shtick, so I know he is actually the Admiral Halsey of f-bombs. Sendin' em out just in case, to make sure Tojo is paying attention.
I always have no love for Damon until I see him in something. Then, suddenly, I feel like I must have more, more, more Matt! It's kind of creepy, but it usually wears off.
The weird part is, Damon with an English accent. Anyway, that was what I thought I heard in the promo.
He was in town recently, to promote that or some other movie. Heath Ledger went around telling the Globe that he was an excellent dancer, and a killer at the tango.
He and Mark Wahlberg narrowly avoided being in town at the same time. I think they must actually be the same person, leading a double life, because how many short-guy-best-buddies-with-George-Clooney can there be, really? Also, it pleases me to think of Donnie Wahlberg dope-slapping Ben Affleck.
Sadly for Marky Mark, Matt is the one who gets to go to all the ball games.
Perhaps, but does Damon get all the free Calvin Klein underwear he wants and free drinks at any gay bar the Funky Bunch has played at on the East Coast?
