Just got back from seeing The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green. I loved loved loved it - it hit exactly the same buttons for me as All Over the Guy except for not having the hunky lead sit next to me while I watched it at festival. I thought it was way better than I'd expected from an indie comedy based on an underground comic.
Highlights included Daniel Letterle as the fussy but likeable protagonist, David Monaghan kissing lots more guys to make up for Kerr Smith's reluctance, Joel Brooks and Richard Riehl (Buffy's first Watcher) as cross dressing couple The Hat Sisters, Diego Serrano frequently in little to no clothing, and Meredith Baxter quoting Old Dirty Bastard and telling her son "Come over for dinner next Tuesday honey. And bring your fuckbuddy!"
The only movie in there that I actually like is "The Usual Suspects," and I absolutely love that one. I also don't hate "Tommy Boy" - it's not allowed, as a male member of my generation.

The cut scenes were easy to identify by their total and utter inappropriateness. Very nice. Great movie. This time, I noticed Besson's use of light. Which was very cool.
We're watching Constantine. This is a terrible movie.
It wasn't a great movie, but I thought it had some good imagery, a few good performances (Tilda, especially) and an interesting premise. It didn't bore me, which is what makes me decide a movie is terrible.
I think it's actually a reasonably good genre movie IF you're completely unfamiliar with the source material (aside from a couple of missteps like InbredHick!Satan and Exposition Lad). They should have just renamed Keanu's character something besides John Constantine and all would have been well.
I have a soft spot for "Tommy Boy" and I'm not sure why. It's not like I could defend it artistically or anything...it's kind of ridiculous. But still somehow, I am hurt to find it on anybody's "Worst Ever" list, even Roger "I'm Sophisticated Till the Tits Pop Out" Ebert.

Damn, I miss Chris Farley.
He and David Spade weren't necessarily the calibre of other classic comedy duos, but the really worked well together.
Edit: Is "caliber" an accepted American spelling? It didn't look right, so I changed it. Maybe I've just been reading ita's spellings too long.
Of course, now "calibre" doesn't look right either.
