this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

the angels and the damned alike reveal their emotions not through action but through sub-Chandler monologuing of which the master criminal in The Incredibles would be ashamed.

Seriously, yo. Even when the characters are literally dying, they WON'T SHUT UP!

On the other hand, Nicky Katt's scene was a hoot.

Heh -- yes, that was hilarious. I kept snickering long after the scene had moved on.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I saw Say Anything when I was in college. I had already fallen in love with Gib in The Sure Thing and therefore saw Better off Dead in the theater. More love. Grosse Point Blank having a class reunion for my high school class sealed the deal.

I love the 80s pop culture detective idea.

Aha, so that's the Usual Suspects 2 angle Keyser Soze = Lex Luthor

I'm trying to think of a death scene I've laughed harder at. There were a couple that came to mind at the time, but I'm memfaulting on them now. Oh yeah, one of them was Pee-Wee's in the Buffy movie. This one was better because it didn't take me right out of the movie.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Oh yeah, one of them was Pee-Wee's in the Buffy movie.

Best. Death. EVER.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm trying to think of a death scene I've laughed harder at.

For me, I think I laughed hardest at the scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, where Indy shoots the swordsman.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There was a death scene in Wonderfalls that cracked me up, and hard.
