I don't think Bonds are allowed to be particularly bald, are they? Jason Statham is particularly bald. Also, about as common as Clive, yes?

Jack Davenport gets my vote. For - well anything, actually, but in this instance, for Bond. Because - gah.
I also think he should be Snape instead of Rickman. I love Rickman with a huge love, and I'm glad he's got this high profile role, but he's very much older than the character really should be.
If not Ewan McGregor (and I agree he seems inappropriately boyish), how about his Shallow Grave costar, whatchamacallim? The 9th James Bond? He's very versatile.

Remember early Connery (the way Bond should be, dammit)? Big Tam was a plasterer and a bodybuilder before he got into the acting game. I think Statham could do that edgy sauve. All he needs is a tux and a BBC accent.
Yeah, I thought there was probably an E instead of the A, but couldn't be arsed to check. Which I realise sounds really bad, 'cause my post looked like I was trying to be Pedantry!Girl, but I just think that Chewy is such a frakking splendid name that it should be known.

Yes! Him! He could maybe do it. He's a very versatile actor. Mind you, I don't know that he'd be up for genre work - he got cold feet over Doctor Who pretty fast, didn't he? And Bond is pretty much genre.
Has anyone seen Heights or The Beautiful Country? If so, how are they?
