You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The only way it works is if Mel Brooks plays Hitler.

Carl Reiner as Dracula!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Who are you casting as Dracula, DX?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Speaking of Dracula, last weekend I saw the late 70's Dracula with Frank Langella as the Count and Laurence Olivier as Van Helsing. [link]

It was pretty cheese-tastic, but fun.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

The last thing I heard about X3 that didn't make me sad was the casting of Kelsey as Beast.

Kelsey who? I dismember.

Kelsey Grammer. I think he's a great match, even if that means I get no big screen Steve Bacic.

Seriously? I wondered if that's who you could have meant. I don't know anything about the Beast, so will reserve judgment, but he's definitely not someone I would have immediately thought to connect with the X-Men franchise.

David beat me to it with Reiner, or George Hamilton if Carl can't do it.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

With a tan like his, George Hamilton would be the most fantastically ironic Dracula ever.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It was pretty cheese-tastic, but fun.

I saw that at a horror movie marathon - you've never heard so much laughing during a (gratuitous and solarized) sex scene. I wish I had seen Langella do the play with the Edward Gorey designed sets though.
