Y'know that scene in Velvet Goldmine where Arthur is looking at the TV, and pictures himself saying, "That's me! That's me, ma!" as he watches the boys go all boy on boy?
That's my reaction to LiT.
As opposed to my reaction to VG, which is more along the lines of, "Yum." and, "More, please."
I mean, it's pretty much THE All Naked All Gay musical with glitter.

Too bad Ewan and Christian and Jonathan were all so damned ugly and undesirable.
Speaking of Ewan, what did I just get delivered to me today???
The Pillow Book
on DVD. Yum.
I had a funny line about Memento, but I forgot it.
Part of being a script supervisor is tracking continuity for the project you're working on. Part of doing that is taking polaroids of everything so you remember where all the props were and stuff.
On the shoot I worked last week, I couldn't control myself. I had to take one extra picture of our lead, just to write "TEDDY" on the front and "DON'T BELIEVE HIS LIES" crossed out with "HE IS THE ONE, KILL HIM" underneath it.
And no, having too much time on one's hands is never a problem a script supervisor ever runs in to.
There was also a side of, "Damn, Kate. You look like Jessica!" which distracted me.
Every time I see a picture of Kate from that movie, I first think it's Jess.

And speaking of Bale, Empire of the Sun arrived yesterday.
I have to remind myself that I'm allowed to watch it and not feel squicked or ooked at his extreme youth on account of him being, oh, my age. Mostly, I've just been remembering how much I love that movie, and wanting to watch it again. Just have to remember to wait a week or two before watching Velvet Goldmine again this time.
Sean: Ha!
Phil Nugent has a great joke about Memento buried in this amusing story on his blog.
Love the Pillow book, Tep.
And no, not because there is a fic called "The Pillow Book of Tim Bayliss" but that made me happy too.
The Pillow Book
Yeuuuuugh. Even the promise of naked Ewan couldn't make me watch more than 20 minutes of that movie.

Bwahaha!
Saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this afternoon. It's actually quite lovely. I enjoyed this version a lot. Mostly because you could tell, really, that Willy just didn't care for children all that much.
I liked the first half of the film better than the factory tour, but it was interesting. I'm leaning on the side of much better than the version with Wilder.
and BONUS!!!--CORPSE BRIDE TRAILER!!!! HOT DAMN!!!!
Loved the Goblet of Fire trailer, too.
