Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I recall *loving* The Untouchables, but I am wee bit afraid of watching it again, having developed sour feelings toward both Costner and De Palma since.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Although, that's like better to be eaten by a lion than by eleventy million fire ants, you know?

More like, better to have the lions ignore you than have them attack and eat you. Sure, the lions aren't snuggling up to be your best friend, but if you like watching lions do their own thing, what's the problem?

Always Anti-fascist!

Always gonna like the Untouchables(act surprised!) As a writer of dialogue, I admire Mamet. As a member of my gender, I think he's an asshole. Call it the Ellroy Exemption.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

That's not Mamet, but Neil LaBute.

Damn. So it is.

You folks don't like Bash, then? I really rated it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

As a member of my gender, I think he's an asshole.

::contemplating Mamet as a member of erika's gender. Becomes conscious of the implications of "member" in this context...::

Always Anti-fascist!

Speaking of...pedantic much? I meant to write "As a writer, I admire him. When I speak as a member of womankind, I think he is an asshole. But a talented asshole." I've got no current designs on Mamet's member, but I've not seen "Oleanna" yet so that could totally change. Much like the weather in Chicago. Damn, Hec, why come you got to harsh on my sloppy syntax, huh? If we were talking, you wouldn't get to do that...you set the bar too high, my friend. I'd do a little surgery on Mr. "In The Company of Men" though.

I might think it though. Not in a critical way, but an enjoying-the-accidental-implications way.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

If we were talking, you wouldn't get to do that...

Yeah, okay, probably I would. But again - not in a pedantic way.

Taking the piss, though? Yeah. Me.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think Mamet as a woman might be a lot like...well, me.(Not that I'm as brilliant) But my most common note in writing group was about my expletives, and he seems to enjoy a good caper, too.ETA: No fair! Mocking the afflicted... I'm saying this for no reason, mind you, but my hair grows really fast.
