Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm looking to buy Ong Bak. Not wanting to wait until the US release date, It's for sale in a lot of places though, with English subtitles. Does anyone have a rec for a reputable internet source?

move out and draw fire

So, is Johnny Depp using Michael Jackson as his inspiration for Willy Wonka? [link] I have to admit that I didn't see it...I thought Depp was more Parker Posey, like someone else here said. But I do like Depp's response.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Surely Depp is basing the character on Magenta De Vine?

ita, I've ordered from yesasia.com in the past and been happy with quality, speed, and price. They have multiple versions of Ong Bak available.

I get almost all my asian movies, tv shows & korean pop music from yesasia. No problems so far. And yeah, the prices are usually great.

Up with the sun

I'm probably going to need to see "Fantastic Four" anyhow, because it looks bad in the fun way. Besides, it's impossible that I'll be as disappointed by it as I was by "Batman Begins."

And I don't think we should count Reese out just yet, though I agree the movies since "Election" haven't lived up to that film or "Pleasantville." It'll be interesting to see what she does over the next ten years.

When I was doing the survey on the MSNBC article, I was a little surprised how many really good movies Brad Pitt has been in, and how many forgettable ones Johnny Depp has made.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I saw Wedding Crashers last night, and it was hysterical. Not quite Zoolander, but as good or better than Starsky & Hutch.

Seeing FF tonight, and will report back.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Rotten Tomatoes already has 27 reviews up, and FF has garnered an overall average of 21%. It looks dismal.

They should have aired part of the 1994 version to the critics before showing the current movie in order to make it seem like Schindler's List in comparison.
