I want Mark Hamill, but I doubt the studio would go for it.

Yeah, he's my favorite in the AICN list.

He could play a former moviestar who's obsesses with his big roll that made him famous. And for some reason that the movie never explains, he has a lightsaber and Jedi powers.

Oh, and Ewoks. He has a possie of Ewok henchmen.

AICN has a poll on the subject. One of the selections in the poll is Matt's suggestion.

And he's currently leading by 300 votes. Note: I did NOT know about this poll when I made my suggestion. I think it wil pay to be well-known in Hollywood for one's lunatic creepyness when discussions of Joker casting start.

He's the best by far, but I don't know if his physical acting skills match his voice work. Maybe they could have him dub over whoever gets cast. (If a sequel with Joker gets made, since this is all hypothetical right now.)

Hamill would be a good 2nd choice in terms of the physical acting, but Glover's some lipstick and green hair dye away from actually being the Joker.

Cillian would have done a pretty good likeness too.

God, I find him creepy.

I'm suddenly taken by the idea of JRM as the Joker, but I understand that's mostly my thing for him and makeup. He'd make a kickass redone Riddler, though.

Right there with you, ita. I didn't find him so in 28 Days Later, but in this he looked like an animated china doll and made me wonder "why does he need the mask to freak his victims out?"
